The Great Cloud of Witnesses of The Overcomers
We bless the name of the lord who at all times feeds us with his word, making sure we don’t lack any nutrient to help us grow spiritually. Today, we expounded on a new topic titled “The Great Cloud of Witnesses of the Overcomers.” Brethren the revelation of the word of God is our light, the time we are living in is the time of revelation; we don’t feed on dogmas and creeds of denominations. God feeds us with the revelation of his word according to the condition of time. Amen!

We did pick our word of encouragement from Hebrew 12:1-2, where the bible tells us that we are surrounded by so great cloud of witnesses; the great cloud of witnesses which is not the sky but the heroes of faith before us who overcame in their time, whose lives exemplified the overcoming life, stood their grounds in trails and trouble, fought a good fight of faith and laid an unfeigned hallmark of faith for us to read and stand that we are not alone in this pilgrimage.
God use to achieve his work in troublous times, there is no situation we are going through that we would not find a worse example amongst these great cloud of witnesses, you and I are not the first to serve God with challenges, we have those who have greater conditions of trials and temptations and still did not turn back from God, therefore, we have no excuse as to why we should backslide. Believing God does not stop you from passing through troublous times, the great heroes of faith believed and still were tortured and sawn asunder because of their faith. The word of God in them fortified them to stand. There is no way any man can stand for God in the midst of trials when the word of God is not in him.
There’s a difference between “knowing about God”, and “knowing God.” Knowing about God is knowing his abilities, what he’s capable of doing; knowing God is to live and walk according to his word. If you know God, you will not be ashamed of Him anywhere you find yourself, if you know God, you will fear Him; you will not please man at the expense of God. Knowing about God won’t take you to heaven, knowing God will. When you know God, you will glorify him by your life.
Faith is not a bridge over challenges: faith will not take away your trials, but rather it will empower you with the endurance to overcome. The heroes of faith also had their weaknesses, shortcomings, and failures, they were not supermen, but they were victorious, because they look away from themselves and they were looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of their faith.
If you want to overcome, then don’t look at yourself, look unto Jesus! Faith is not one sided; men had faith and shut the mouth of lions, and some other men had faith and withstood beheadings. Faith believes God whether you live or die!
The fact that the heroes of faith were tortured indicates that faith does not exempt you from trials and troubles. FAITH IS REVELATION! Every child of God is known for chastisement (trials, discipline)
We have divers trials as individual; the same faith that made people to endure affliction, it’s the same faith that made some people to escape it.
Whatever challenges or trials we are passing through does not mean that God is not concerned about our welfare.
God may punish you for something you don’t have a reason for doing (other than pleasing your flesh); while he will not punish another because he has a reason. A case of Timothy that Paul told to use wine because of his condition.
Mount Sinai is not a smooth mountain, rather a very rough one, and yet an old Moses got the commandment from there, God only gave him the grace of endurance. Make up your mind to serve God regardless of whatever, the road will not be smooth; you can only receive grace to go on.
Don’t compete with the world if you want to run this race to the end, compete with the heroes of faith you have in the bible.
God is disciplined. You can’t make it to Him if you are not disciplined (temperate in all things –to win the crown that cannot perish). One who is running is focused and obedient to the rules of the game.
Brothers, if a righteous man falls seven times, he will yet rise. Don’t give up; God raised Samson up. Out of weakness, God made great strength. He’s one of the heroes we have as a witness, no matter how you have fallen, no man has the strength to endure in himself, God is the one who supplies the strengths. Let your faith rise in Him, and get revived to run this race to the end.

The Mystery of The Fourth Beast
We continued on our sermon to expound on the fourth beast of Daniel. Daniel in his vision saw four different beasts; while the first three had identity (the first was like a Lion, the second like bear, the third like a leopard), the fourth however did not have any description, it was just said to be dreadful and terrible.

Like we’ve known, these four beasts symbolically represent the four world empires that ruled the world. The kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar was one of the beasts Daniel saw which was the Babylon Empire (represented by Lion), then we had the MedoPersia Empire (represented by Bear), followed by the Greek Empire (represented by Leopard), and lastly, the Roman Empire (which had no identity).
The book of Revelation and the book of Daniel parallel each other; what John saw in Revelation, Daniel had also seen it. The first beast John saw in Revelation 13:1 was the fourth beast of Daniel. The first three beasts (empires) had ruled in their time and they will never rule again, but the fourth beast had ruled and will still rule again, hence, the reason for our study of the fourth beast. After the ruling of this fourth beast, the kingdom of the earth will be for the saints of Jesus Christ! (Daniel 7:18).
This beast that John saw had the parts (characteristics) of all the first three beasts Daniel saw. The spirit that ruled the first beast rolled into the second, though the first stopped existing, the spirit continued, and also to the third, after which we found out in the fourth, the three beast’s spirits that preceded it had their parts in it. So the fourth had the features of lion, bear and leopard parts in it. (Revelation 13:2). Daniel upon seeing this fourth beast was curious to know about it.
The Roman Empire had a religion, called the Roman Catholic, not Christianity. Revelation 17 told us of a woman who sits upon a scarlet beast –which is the fourth beast of Daniel. The fourth beast played the trick upon people to conquer them. When the beast “was”, it was ruling the world politically and religiously, then when she “was not”, she was still ruling spiritually (by the doctrines she had infused into Christendom –trinity, women preaching etc). And then, the Bible said she still ‘’will be’’ –to rule the world politically and spiritually again. Her religion, which is the Roman Catholic Church is the woman sitting upon this fourth beast – which means that her religion is sitting upon her empire!
There was a time called the “Dark Age” which was from 606-1520, the Roman Catholic Church killed Protestants who rose against their faith –about 50-68 million of them. The bible says, “She was drunk with the blood of the saints”. But now that she’s ruling spiritually by her religion, she is killing more than she did physically –it is a spiritual killing today through her idolatry disguised into Christianity. Catholic is not killing by heresies (Heresy is when you give your own interpretation to the bible); she’s practically idolatrous but coded it into religion.
The only source of life is the word of God, not religion nor idolatry. If there is no word of life in you, you’re dead though with cars and mansions. The children of Israel ate manner that came from above; the bible called it the food of angels, yet they still died physically and spiritually –because they did not enter the promise land. So you don’t rely on any other thing except the word of God to have life, not even vision nor prayer. You must allow the word of God to dwell in you. So all the things that Catholic has fed and is feeding the world with will only yield death to everyone who is eating from it. When you hear and understand the word of Jesus Christ, you automatically feed on Jesus Christ.
The call of God still remains, “Come out of her”. You can’t be there and claim to not be part of what they are doing. You cannot change her; she has never been a Christian Church. Come out of her system, she has a mark she has given to her daughters. Any church that has a General Overseer is a daughter of the great whore – Roman Catholic Church. Come out of her, and get ready to meet the bridegroom –Jesus Christ.

Roman Empire The First Beast and America The Second Beast
If you don’t have the word of God dwelling in you, in the day of challenge, you will have no weapon. So, every time we spend with the word of God, we should value it to receive the word into our hearts.

The four beast of Daniel 7:2-7 correspond with the four divisions Daniel saw in Daniel 2:31. Also, Daniel 7:7 and Revelation 13:1 is referring to the same beast, which is the Roman Empire.
Revelation 17:1-3: the woman (whore) is the church (denomination; Roman Catholic Church); the beast is the Roman Empire.
Rome is operating in the spirit of Babylon, and that is why the bible refers to her as ‘’mystery, Babylon the great’’.There is a spirit behind everything. The anti-Christ spirit has been since Genesis, and is now operating in the Catholic Church. But just like the Roman Catholic Church received a deadly wound as though she wasn’t going to rise again; so also was the Roman Empire was shut down, but as the Bible said that she is going to ascend, she indeed has ascended (she is the richest in the church world).
The bible prophesied about the Anti-Christ which shall rise when the bride has gone in rapture, but also before that time, anti-christs will rise with the same spirit, and that is the spirit we see today in our denominational church leaders who preach creeds and dogmas, and forsake the doctrine of the apostles of the Bible. The real Anti-Christ will, however, rise from the Roman Catholic Church.
Babylon has been an instrument of evil. God used her to chastise the Israelites when they sinned against him. There is the physical Babylon and the spiritual Babylon. The physical Babylon has been destroyed, as was prophesied in Jeremiah 51, while the spiritual Babylon is still on, she also is going to be judged.
The ten horns(Revelations 13:1) are the ten kingdoms (nation) that started the European Union. These countries that connived are the beasts that carry the woman (Roman Catholic Church.)
John, in his revelation about the beasts, he saw two beasts; the nation of America was seen as another beast, she wasn’t part of the four different empires. She was, however, prophesied to exercise the power of the first beast which is the Roman Empire.
The ten horns(nations that started the European Union) who are presently the beast that carry the woman, will later turn their backs against the great whore and shall make her desolate. This will be the end of the great whore. Brothers, the word of God will be fulfilled and nothing will change it, all that is happening in the world is a fulfillment of the word of God. And as wise virgins, you need to walk in the timing of God and in the light of his word. Stay focused on God and be ready to meet him in the air one sweet day.
America The Second Beast
Shalom brethren, we welcome you today to our sermon review. Today we started a new teaching on the topic titled “America, The Second Beast”.
Text: Revelation 13:11-12, Revelation 1:14-16, Revelation 13:1-2, Revelation 17:1-2, Revelation 4:6, Daniel 7:19-22, Revelation 12:9, Revelation 13:3.
Brethen the Book of Revelation is a book of symbols; It cannot be literally interpreted; it is coded in mysteries. Only those that are given to know the mysteries of the kingdom can decode it. So the mystery of the second beast, its characteristics, its works are all coded in Revelation 13. Before we speak on the second beast, we need to understand who the first beast was.
The First Beast
The first beast is the Roman Empire as explained in Revelation 13: 1, it is referred to as ‘The First World’ or the ‘Old World’. Revelation 13 gave a description of its make up, some of which include 7 heads, 10 horns with 10 crowns, blasphemy written on its fore head. Looking at this features we need to see beyond the literal representation and open our hearts to what they mean from the spiritual perspective. Rome is the last empire that ruled the whole world and its phase of leadership brought destruction to moral and religious standard of the world. The Bible said that the first beast came out of the sea (Revelation 13:1) and seated upon many waters (Revelation 17:1), which denotes that this beast is made up of several people and countries. She also sits upon a scarlet beast (Revelation 17:4) which denotes her power through which she is operating.
Now to the second beast:
The second beast was from the earth, it is just a country (which could comprise of many states), but not as the first beast that ruled the world as an empire.
Understanding the word “The Beasts” and the “Living Creatures”
Though the word beast has several meaning, it is not a good word. God doesn’t use it to describe his people. We need to clear the mistranslation of the word beast in Revelation 4:6 KJV. The word beast is different from living creatures. Checking through other versions of the Bible the word used was Living creatures except KJV. Before the throne of God are four living creatures not beasts, that have eyes all over them guiding the throne of God. Brethren, beast cannot guide the throne of God, the living creatures are human beings, and so also are the beasts (they comprise of people) but they are different.
The living creatures are human beings who have eternal life; with the mark of God upon their forehead, which is the revelation of the word of God, they respond to the word of God, live by it and in turn have a hope of eternity thereafter.
A beast is one who rejects the word of God, they hold firm to their creeds and dogmas, to protect their denomination at the expense of the truth of God. The mark of denominations is their doctrines, and it is not from God. Every denomination is operating the beast system. A man who rejects the word of God and the doctrine of the apostolic fathers of the Bible is no different from a beast.
Of the four empires that ruled the world; the Roman Empire was the strongest, yet the most degraded empire. It is a world of clay and iron. When it was in effect, they gave the whole world their religion which is “Roman Catholic.’’ She is the whore that commits fornication (Revelation 17:1-end) with the whole world.
How is Roman Catholic controlling the whole world?
Rome is ruling the world spiritually through her religion. Catholic is the religion of the European community; the church and the state are one, they mixed together just like the Islam religion is in Iran. It is through this religion that she has seduced all men into fornication, which are the dogmas she introduced into Christianity against the word of God, hence the name Beast! Emperor Constantine was the one who united the state and the religion together which was used to infuse all the gibberish that has killed the people spiritually. The Roman Empire ruled the world for almost 1000 years, the longest so far, compared to other empires as explained in Daniel 7:19. This period was known as the ‘dark age period’, so Rome ruled the world and is ruling the world through her religion. Since she is operating in a beastly power, no life can come out of her; she is doing all she is doing to kill. You can’t make it to heaven through her. You have to come out of her to the true word of God to make rapture.
The Acts of the Apostles is the frame work of the church. That is the foundation upon which any ‘would-be’ church of Jesus Christ is built. If the acts of the Holy Ghost in the apostles are not seen in any church today in conduct, doctrine and order, it is not of God. The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our eternity, not your degree.
The Roman Catholic Church is full of the dead saints, she has killed physically and through her religion is killing spiritually and again, she will yet kill physically again after the rapture. When the gospel will return to the Jews through Moses and Elijah, she will wage war against them and kill them; she also will kill the foolish virgins for their testimonies.
Brothers, do you think it will be possible for you stand for Christ during the oncoming tribulation that shall befall the foolish virgins if in this time of grace, it is hard for you to accept simple biblical doctrine by the scriptures? If at this grace age, we cannot deny ourselves, how can we deny when the fiery torment of the Roman Catholic rise at the last 3½years of the seven years left for the Jews.
“…Her deadly wound”
There was a man by the name of Martin Luther who God used to give her this deadly wound (Revelation 13 :3). Before this time, the only organised church on earth was Roman Catholic, she through her power kept the Bible away from the people, the only thing they knew about God is what their ‘Papa’ tells them; they don’t have access to the Bible to know the truth and because of this, they were able to feed the world with their dogmas. Martin Luther wrote 95 heresies of the Roman Catholic system, and a great revival sprung up from this which gave birth to the Protestant Movement. This revival really gave her a deadly wound, she almost lost her power. Many people upon seeing the revelation of the word of God came out of her and began to build upon the word of God. God revealed to Martin Luther that ‘’the Just shall live by faith’’ and it tore apart their system.
But then, she was healed. And according to the Bible, it was the second beast that healed her wound (Revelation 13: 11 – 12).
America
America, the second beast is currently exercising the power of the first beast, it has built up all the mess of Rome again and will still do more. America today is the greatest country, and everybody is listening to her, but alas, her kings are those without the fear of God, and by this a degeneration of the world through Rome that has been wounded is being revived. All we have to do as believers is to look up for our time of departure is at hand. Shalom.
Him, They Compelled To Bear His Cross
With the going-ons in the world, every true believer should earnestly draw closer to God, because naturally, nothing seems to be working. Your responsibility as kingdom citizens is to further the kingdom of God. Your only hope is in the world to come, and now that nothing is working in this world, your gaze should be fixed on him.

You need to be stirred up always, especially when it involves something spiritual. And because we do go weary spiritually, that is why we need revival. There should be constant need to connect ourselves to our source of spiritual strength–the word of God, because faith comes by hearing. The word of God should always motivate and bring us back to our position in Christ. We should also bear the burden of the cross of Jesus by responding to the service of God when needed.
The cross is not somewhat easy to carry; think about what should be used for crucifixion. Research reveals to us that the cross has an approximate size of about 11 feet (3.5 meters) long and six inches wide, the estimated diameter of 15 centimeter. It has an estimated weight of around 100 pounds (45 kilos). This research in itself reveals a tree of death by anyone who is carrying it. But then, a man by the name Simon, was compelled to carry the cross of Jesus. Brethren, it wasn’t by accident, God had foreknown that he would carry the cross.
The cross definitely must have obstructed his plans; he must have been out about his personal plans because he was surmoned while he must have been going to somewhere important. It couldn’t have been an interesting day for him, however, he carried it. He met grace, because it led to the salvation of his wife and son. He was chosen by God to carry the cross.
Likewise, the cross of the gospel is laid on you to carry. God is counting on you like He was counting on Simon. And like it obstructed Simon’s plan, it will also obstruct your plans. It will demand intense responsibility from you. Although, it might seem too difficult a task, but eventually, it will be worth it all.
Carrying the cross of Jesus Christ is not in vain. It wasn’t for Simon alone, it is for you, too. In Romans 16:13, we realised that the one-day sacrifice of carrying the cross of Jesus brought salvation to him and his family. Paul told the Romans to salute Rufus, the son of Simon and his mother. Although they were Gentiles, God predestinated them for salvation; they became part of the family of God who would later believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. It may seem like a curse on your part to carry the cross, but when you receive grace and yield to God’s responsibility, it will in turn yield blessings unto you. There’s usually no regret in carrying the cross of Jesus Christ. May God grant you grace whenever He calls on you for service!

Subtopic: From The World Of Gold to The World of Clay

God revealed to King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen to the whole world because of his position as an Emperor. This doesn’t mean that Nebuchadnezzar is a prophesier or a dreamer. There is no other place in the Bible where Nebuchadnezzar ever dreamed. This means that you may prophesy only once and never prophesy again. When this is the situation with you, please, do not force yourself to prophesy or dream. Likewise, God can give his gift to anybody, whether a sinner or a born again. The gift of God is without repentance (Romans 11: 29).
God removed the understanding of the astrologers and he made it difficult for them to interpret the dream of Nebuchadnezzar. But he revealed it to Daniel so as to bring out the folly of the astrologers.
Difference Between ‘Type’ and ‘Shadow’
A shadow itself is not the very image of the things, it however cannot fail, because it foreshadows something good or bad that must come true. A shadow is God’s own way of projecting a picture in a darkened shape, it is a hint of something in a slight suggestion, it compares spiritual things with spiritual things. (1 Cor 2:13).
A type on the other hand, is both God’s and a preacher’s way of painting a picture in order to make a point. A type shows a particular kind of attribute exhibited in someone and is attributed to another person who may not even look similar. It is a means of comparing natural things with spiritual things. And from this understanding, we can say thus;
Nebuchadnezzar is a type of Jesus Christ in Daniel 2: 32. He is not Jesus Christ, but he is just a type of him. Jesus Christ is the King of kings, that’s why Nebuchadnezzar is a type of Jesus Christ. The Kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar is of gold, and gold is a type of Jesus Christ. The kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar had a very high standard. After his regime, the other kingdoms that rose were inferior. We are now in the kingdom of iron and clay, which is why we are partly strong and partly weak.
We are living in the world of clay where the prophecy of Matthew 24 must come to pass. The children of this world shall not endure sound doctrine and shall do everything according to the lust of their hearts. Therefore, because of their sins, the Lord will pour upon the earth famine, drought, pestilences and every other thing that was written in Matthew 24.
You are a child of God, so, you must walk like one. Do not compare yourself with the children of the world, but choose to please the Lord at all time.
Blessed is your ear that has heard the truth, and your eyes that has seen it.
