The Spirit of Truth And The Spirit of Error
We welcome you into the last day of the camp, we cannot doubt from the experience of God gotten in this convention from the sermons and prophecies that the church is shifting into another dimension, more acute than for anyone to remain in lukewarmness and laxity, at the beginning pf today’s sermon, the Pastor said: it is a time of carefulness, to be serious and we should take him seriously so that we will not fall out. As we grow into the final events of the end time, God is purely interested in bride that are adorned by His pure word. We have to take up that responsibility. One of the reason is, the devil doesn’t fight God, he cannot, God could decide to speak him out of experience; but the devil is fighting the children of God, and that is why we hear the word of God, to be serious and know what is demanded of us, more so, it is the reason behind the service’s topic -the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
SCRIPTURES: 1 John 4:4-6, Amos 3:3, 1 John 2:19, 1 John 3:8-10, Genesis 4:1-6, Jude 1:10-12, Ephesians 4:11, 1 Corinthians 12:27-28, 1 Corinthians 12:1-10, Jeremiah 23:21-33, Hebrews 3:9-10, Psalms 18:26
The two spirits are the only spirits ruling the word, both are capable of possessing human, however they are two opposing spirits. We were made to understand more so, that the bride is passing through sensitive time, the devil knows the time we are living in and the danger the children of God are doing in his kingdom, and he is doing everything possible to convert you away from God.
All times are not the same, the time of planting is definitively not the same time of reaping, we shouldn’t be ignorant of the time we are living in and the purpose of God for that time. Christians are supposed to watch! And that is why God is separating the Spirit of truth from the spirit of error, if you are in this program of God, please be careful, God is not joking. Let your motive of following God be right, God judges the heart, there is no action without a spirit behind it. You don’t follow God because of material things, else, you will soon fall away. Prosper in the soul first, and you will discover that physical blessing is simple.
You have to be careful because some people may not be able to run the race to the end, but it shouldn’t be you. You have to be careful because these to spirits look alike, you will not know their difference until they’re tested. You cannot know which spirit is residing in a man until the word(truth) is presented to him.
When the spirit of truth is in you, you will not only preach the truth, you will live the truth, however, because the spirit of error cannot cooperate with the spirit of truth, it soon will find offense and fall out.
And even if you have the spirit of truth, be careful and manage it, so that you will not fall out. The word test will prove the spirit in you, because both spirits have fruits. Both spirits can walk together but not to the end, there must be a separation.
The spirit of error doesn’t take to correction: after Cain and Abel had seen Adam sacrifice unto God, yet Cain could not still offer the right sacrifice, and though he was corrected, yet he wouldn’t take to it, instead he rose and slew his brother. The spirit of error always will hate the spirit of truth. You need to know your right from your wrong, otherwise, you’re a foolish virgin. Cain could not do right because he wasn’t born right, you have to be born again in the right way to do right. If you want to see the devil, go to where God is, that is where you will find him, however, for peace to reign in the church of God, He has to purge his church -separating error from truth.
There’s no church where issues will not rise, but to know the spirit in you, ask yourself: where do you always find yourself, because definitely, there will always be both spirits at play. If every time you always fall to the wrong side, then, you have the spirit of error. If you believe the doctrines of men, you have been handcuffed by the devil.
The children of God that possesses the spirit of truth also fall into mistakes, but they don’t deliberately sin, they don’t cover their sin, they don’t justify themselves in wrongdoing, they’re not religious. They probably fall into whatever mistake because of ignorance, carelessness and weakness, but not intentional.
God who is the owner of his church, gave the church the five-fold ministry to administer and lead the church. You cannot remove them. As God gave these ministries to the church, their ministry will also produce other minor ministries -called the fruits of the ministry!
Don’t use God, let God use you; in the body of Jesus Christ, there are gifts and every member of the body have one gift or the other. One is not greater than the other when God is speaking through them. And also, we need to be careful because the devil can creep in to those gifts. Don’t gift yourself, let God gift you, and let him use it. You are not spiritual by the gift you have, we’ve had many false prophesies, so much that when the original prophecy comes, people despise it, we need to be able to differentiate the difference between these two spirits, because they contradict themselves. Every good gift is from above, and if it is from God, it will not go against the word of God.
The spirit of error cannot manage the truth. How we need God to purify our spirit, and make us fit for his service, for God is not a respecter of persons.
Purify our hearts O God, and renew right spirit within us. Amen.
He Called Them Out To Take Them In
We again this afternoon rallied round the spread table of God and he blessed us with his word. The God we serve is one, and we could attest to that, following the trend of the sermons. It takes faith to walk with God.
SCRIPTURES: Genesis 15:13, Exodus 6:5-8, 1Corinthians 10:1-2,24, John 17:17, Ephesians 5:26-27, Luke 24:49, 1Corinthians 10:5, Psalm 106:24-26, Numbers 14:26-30, Psalm 106:25, Psalm 23:4, Deuteronomy 21:18-21, Psalm 106:24, Numbers 14:23, Hebrews 3:7-15
Abraham, our father of faith at a point when he was looking up to God for a child, God spoke to him that his descendants will sojourn in a strange land for 400years, what a message for one seeking just a child! We love to claim the blessing of Abraham, but we don’t want to go through the process of Abraham. Brother, the blessing of God is Election, not any material things.
The promise of a seed came to pass and Abraham gave birth to Isaac and Isaac to Jacob, and then we have the Israelites, and truly they sorjourn in a strange land, and when it was God’s time, when they were to come out, God gave them three things;
- A Prophet
- Signs and Wonders
- A message.
Among these three, the message is the greatest of all, God gave the ‘prophet’ and the ‘signs and wonders’ because of the message.
In this Laodicea age, God did the same, gave us the three things, but most people have misunderstand God by prioritizing signs and wonders or the prophet more than the message.
However the same message that brought out Joshua and Caleb was the same message that brought out Korah and Dathan. A lot of people only claim to have believed the message, the message is not in them. God knows what to do and how to prove every one, he has processes for everyone because the purpose of bringing them out is to take them in. And in taking you in, you have to be fit, and in being fit, you have to be proved.
WHY DID THEY SPEND 40 YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS
- God wants to show them his power: These men were given birth to in Egypt, they don’t know their God, but he needed to wash them, so God took them through the process of the wilderness.
- For them to trust him: He needed them to know that in their journey, he is their sufficiency. Just like we know the meaning of fellowship, all we need in this journey of faith is God and God alone.
- To prove what is in them: And that is why you and I are still on earth. Until we squeeze an orange, we will never know its taste. God took the Israelites through the wilderness so that he can prove what is inside of them. Yes, God is omnipotent and All knowing, he knows what is inside of you, but also God is just, so he will allow you to manifest what is inside of you.
The measuring rule of God to know your spirituality is not with the material things you have, you don’t measure the love of God to you by the money you have.
There are three processes to the promise land, or three processes of salvation:
- Justification: This is God picking you out by love out of many, he made his choice by picking you. And this is the first step, and guess what, we don’t stay here, because it’s a journey to the promise land. Justification is not the promise land, it is a process to the promise land, so move on. God took the Israelites through the Red Sea for water baptism and he made them to see his wonders, but that still wasn’t the promise land. You don’t stay with miracles and rest your eternity on that.
- Sanctification: After God took them through the sea for water baptism, he gave them the law to sanctify them. The truth has always being the tool in God’s hand to sanctify his own, it will not change. And for the truth, it has to be complete to be the truth. Jesus Christ is the truth, and you cannot have half Jesus, it’s either you have the truth or you don’t have, you cannot have 90% truth and claim to have the truth. God sends his servants to us, so we are not to criticize the word when it is coming to us, we shouldn’t be raising agitation that the pastor is using us to preach. Those words are for us, appreciate it rather than fighting. This sanctification is the second process and very important stage in the journey, but it is not still the promise land, yet many stumble at this stage.
The journey of faith is you and God, and that is what fellowship is, it is two fellows in the faith’s ship. You shouldn’t rely your salvation on your husband or parents, it’s an individual race. William Branham said two million people left Egypt, but only two entered the promise land. The Bible records that God was not pleased with many of them and that is why he overthrew them in the wilderness. Everyone going to that promise land will go through that wilderness test, and your entering the promise land is determined by your success or failure of the tests. They could not make it to the promise land because though they all drank from the same spiritual rock, the word they heard did not mix with faith in their heart. Watch you life! The hearer is not justified, but the doers. Because you left denominations doesn’t mean you have gotten to the promise land. We have to be careful in this journey of faith, looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith. You don’t take any man as a masterpiece, Jesus Christ is the masterpiece.
Don’t because you are predestined misbehave, every child of God is predestined to conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. There is really no one on earth that is not predestined, Judas was predestined to do what he did. But there’s a life that’s expected from you when you’re predestined to God. God was the one that brought the Israelites out of Egypt, and he was still the same person that overthrew them in wilderness. While praying, also watch!!!
WHY THEY COULD NOT ENTERED
- They murmured: it is better to ask, if you don’t understand whatever than murmuring in your house, murmuring against the servant of God is murmuring against God. They murmured against Moses, but God said they murmured against God.
- They rejected their God’s given guide: To every sheep of God, there’s a shepherd, else the sheep will go astray. Every sheep needs direction, God leads his sheep through his given shepherd. Every shepherd has a stick, and that stick serves two purpose: first, as a staff to lead and direct us as we go along the way; and second, as a rod to chastise us when we’re going astray.
- Rebelliousness: This is having their way outside the instruction of the Holy Spirit. A rebellious soul will always sow evil seed in the church. Korah and Dathan rebelled against Moses, and God cut them off.
- They believed not his word: Faith is an important factor while walking with the Lord. A double minded person cannot see God.
- They provoke the Lord: You don’t familiarize yourself with the Spirit of God, don’t let anything rise in you that will make you take him for granted, He is a consuming fire.
Brothers and sisters, the Holy Spirit is the promise land in the New Testament, and we have to pass through all these processes in order to be able to get to the promise land.
The purpose of God for bringing you out is to take you in to the Holy Spirit and seal you up, and until that is achieved, don’t stop. Keep running, let your testimony be the one you’ll give at the end, not the one you are giving currently. And the grace of God will keep us to the end. Amen!
The Lord And His Bride
We had a freshness of God’s presence this morning, and again, we can prove that His mercies are new every morning. The servant of God started off today by doing some reviews of yesterday’s sermons and he expounded on the need for Christians to have balance, we are not suppose to hold on to scriptures in order to satisfy our lustful acts.
SCRIPTURES: Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 16:18, Psalms 18:23-26, Genesis 29:27, John 20:19-22, Hebrews 13:17
We then move to the topic with an understanding that there’s power in the church of God, the bible said that “the government shall be upon his shoulder”, and we know that the shoulder is not the head, the Head is Christ, while the shoulder is the beginning of the body (the body is the church of Christ).
There’s something about the scriptures when God speaks through his words, we need to understand that He communicates his mind, and we need to understand from those words what is his mind. Like we said that the church has power but God is a God of order, the authority of the New Testament church is given to the Five Fold Ministry. (The twelve apostles were the foundation layers).
For the entire Gentile age (Ephesian to Laodicea), Paul is the father of the church, he was the one that espoused the church to Christ, more so, he was one of the foundation layers of the church.
As God is a God of order, so is his church, the authority must not be contradicted by her members, God has placed his sheep under authority (the five fold), and authority decision is placed under their care, the member have no right to appoint a Pastor over them, the body of Christ has been blessed with the five fold ministry, the authority is given to them to come together and appoint prayerfully who should be the Pastor of the church.
Being the church of God, it has to run according to His modus operandi.
We had example to better explain this:
- The church in the house of Isaac: (Rebekah being the church, Isaac being Christ, while Esau and Jacob were the church members). The church had a prophecy that the younger will serve the elder, and she tried to helped God in fulfilling the prophecy with a very wrong approach. Genesis 27:37. Though God promised this, the method of approach is wrong, both Rebekah and Jacob deceived the prophet, Isaac. Isaac requested for venison from Esau before he’ll die so that his soul can bless him. But cunningly Rebekah went to meet Jacob and they got their way with Isaac not knowing that there’s a repercussion for what they are doing.
HOW DID THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM GOT TO JACOB?
Like the Bible said, Isaac needed a meal (offering) from Esau, so that his soul can bless him. And if we carefully look at that chapter of Genesis, we will discover that Isaac blessed Jacob with three blessings. The blessing of Abraham and Isaac got to Jacob at the third prayer when his soul was blessing him after he had eaten the meal. There is an offering you can give to God and it will either shift you more closely or shift you off, God knows your worth. There’s a blessing attached to every need of God, and if you begin to contemplate upon whether or not giving to Him when a need arise, probably because you’ve been giving, someone’s else sincere offering will shift you away from the blessing.
The offering of Jacob was what made him got the blessing. The blessing Jacob received in the name of Esau never was for him, they were for Esau, because Isaac blessed Esau, but the blessing that his soul blessed the giver of the offering was the one that went to Jacob.
Yes, the God of Israel was to be the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but because Jacob got it cunningly, he paid for it. After he got the blessing, Esau was looking for him to kill and he had to hide himself for 37years, after the years and he was to marry, he was also duped the way he duped, Laban requested that he serve him 7years to have Rachael which he did, but he received Leah instead. He had to fulfil the one week of Leah before he could have Rachael, and although he loved Rachael more than Leah, God closed the womb of Rachael.
Jacob lived in distresses and pain all through. He married at the age of 84 while Esau married at the age of 40, when Jacob was 77, he had to go back to Isaac to be prayed for again. You cannot help God to achieve his work, his ways are not your ways, don’t make your life miserable, Jacob lived a miserable life. Her mother Rebekah who spare headed the act had a miserable life herself: Esau married the daughters of the Canaanites who would not respect the their mother in law, and it was a woe on her part that she screamed out that her life would mean no good to her if Jacob should marry from Canaan.
To the froward, God will always show himself to them as froward, and to the merciful, God will show himself to them as merciful.
You should not be one causing problem in the local assembly God has placed you, you cannot fight God’s authority and see God at the end of your life. The shepherds God has placed his flock under are the ones to give account of you on the last day, you cannot speak for yourself, so the power to bind and lose is given to them, they are the authority of the church, and that is why it is very imperative for us to humble ourselves before them and amend our ways as they stand in the position of authority representing God.
If we are cast out of the church by these men, we have been cast out of the heavenly position where we sit in Christ Jesus, you cannot disagree with the church on earth and agree with the church in heaven. Every soul hence should humble themselves. We are walking through Immanuel’s ground, we shouldn’t walk carelessly, God is a consuming fire.
Shalom!
The Rapturing Faith
We again welcome you into the second service as the lord leads us in the this journey of sanctification. The rapturing heart being the topic is set before us to understand that what God needs from us is our heart! It takes a pure in heart to see God, and if rapture is to see God, then we have need for our hearts to be made pure.
SCRIPTURES: Matthew 5:8-10, Acts 24:14-16, 1Timothy 4:12, Galatians 5:16, 1John 3:1-3, Luke 9:51-55, Romans 12:20, John 14:17, John 16:13, John 14:26, Genesis 4:3-9, Genesis 14:1-14, Genesis 39:2, Exodus 32:30, Jeremiah 28:1-9, 1Corinthians 6:1-7, John 6:63
Paul, in the book of Act gave us a standard of a heart that God wants, and such is that which is of a pure conscience to God and man. This means that, for someone going in rapture, your faith should be greater, you need a rapturing faith that encapsulates being pure in spirit, faith, charity and conversation more than anyone else. And of course there is a difference between a wise and foolish virgin, while both are pure, the wise virgin have greater purity.
Purity is a daily exercise if you must have a rapturing heart; don’t depend on yesterday’s purity or whatever spiritual exercise you’ve done in the past. Watch your daily attitudes, checkmate your life using the Bible for your standard. How’s your love towards God? How’s your discipline towards God? How’s your prayer life? Brethren, the Spirit of God that we have overcomes evil with good.
Which Spirit do we carry?
- The Spirit of Truth: John 14:17 made us to understand that the world cannot receive this Spirit. So we can deduce that you have this Spirit of God when you love the truth despite the fact that you are offended, chastised and corrected. If the Spirit of God dwells in us, then we will speak the truth irrespective of whatever or whoever. Hence, you can’t have that Spirit and go to hell, for the kingdom of God is built with the pillar of truth. As long as the kingdom of God stands, this truth can never change, however if you are of God, the truth will come to you. God himself is truth! And if we are being built by the same word of truth, then we have a security in Christ that no falsehood can overcome us. This goes to show that all we have to do as brides is to always please our groom.
At a point when Cain and Abel were to bring an offering unto God, Cain did not have the understanding of what an offering to God should be, and because he wasn’t accepted, he rose up against his brother and killed him; it has not changed today, a carnal man will always persecute a spiritual man. But then, we need to understand the word of God to be able to present an acceptable life unto God.
- The Spirit of Peace: the truth is, we cannot be right every time, we need to be peacemakers, and do everything possible to let trouble pass away. Abraham displayed who a wise virgin should be, when Lot had issues with him, he opted for him to pick first the land he wished, and he wouldn’t mind having a desert as a place of abode. Joseph, after all his brothers did to him, accommodated them and took care of them. David wouldn’t pay back for whatever Saul was doing, he still served him. Issues could come up anywhere, mind the way you handle things. In a simple term, “one going in rapture is solely watchful”
Don’t bother fighting for God, you can’t. Don’t even avenge for yourself. God knows how to avenge for himself. The Spirit of God goes with patience, tolerance, forgiveness, long suffering. Don’t forget that “God test!” Don’t get too familiar with God till you’re too rigid to turn when He moves into another way. Stephen still prayed for forgiveness to those who stoned him.
One of the reasons why we are not blessed, and why we no longer have miracles in our assemblies is because of the condition of our hearts. If we can resolve a right heart with God, we will begin to see results in our prayers.
The days of miracles are not passed, God is still very much alive and potent, but the problem is the condition of our heart. We have to create an atmosphere for God to manifest freely. There have been little things that we ignore but are the greatest hindrance to our progress spiritually and physically: we presume what is not true, yet we hold to it and keep distance from brotherhood. We should not forget that there’s a spirit behind everything and then may we reiterate again that we need to “watch!” Put your heart in a condition where God can have his way and you will not fail whether or not you understand whatever He is doing.
Also, we need to respect God’s choice, if we want to obtain mercy. Whoever God has placed us under, we need to humble ourselves and respect him, don’t compare, remember God do choose the base things of the earth. Rather than comparing, pray for that good quality you’re seeing elsewhere for you pastor. The ways of God are not our way. Be patient, be humble and learn. God has reasons for his choice, you do yourself good by queuing behind him.
Do your best to allow God work in your life and in your assembly by making your heart pure, humble yourself to obey the word of God. The Holy Spirit did not come automatically on the day of Pentecost, the apostles were in one accord waiting for that Spirit to descend. We can still see God mightily in our assemblies, we can still see his miracles in our lives. Set your heart right with God.
Shalom!
Are You Converted ?
We welcome you into the convention, it has pleased the Lord to gather us together in order to prepare his bride for the rapture, and again, our garments are being purified by His words. Oh how wonderful it will be for us all to be washed, saved and converted.
SCRIPTURES: Luke 22:31-32, Luke 3:7-14, Matthew 7:15-20, Philippians 2:5-11 , Revelation 4:9-11, Revelation 5:1-14, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, 1 Corinthians 15:51, Genesis 5:22-24, Hebrew 11:5, Psalm 138:6, Hebrew 1:14, Colossians 1:10, Galatians 1:10, 1Corinthians 7:32, 1King 19:10, 2King 2:1-10, Jude 1:14,
Jesus Christ told Peter that when he is converted, he should strengthen his brethren. The question now comes: when was he converted? Because he has been following Jesus for more than three years. Brothers, he was converted when the Holy Spirit came down on the day of Pentecost. And until we all have received the Holy Spirit are we then converted indeed. And as the theme of our convention says: bearing fruits worthy of the rapture; we cannot bear such fruits if we are not converted. We need to grow to a point where men can attest to the fact that something has happened in our lives that goes beyond a shadow of doubt through our untainted lifestyles -the kingdom of God is not for sinners.
Bearing fruit worthy of the rapture in a simple term is “living a Christ-like life”. Just like naturally, everyone expect a mango fruit from a mango seed, such is the same with one who is planted in Christ, our lives will show that we are pilgrims and strangers on earth, because the kingdom life we live is not of this world.
Who is then worthy? None but God himself. If we would pick the life of Jesus for an example, he became worthy, but by humility, though he was equal with God, nevertheless being fashioned in man’s likeness, he humbled himself to death -even the death of the cross. And for that was he counted worthy and all powers subjected to him.
It will cost you something, you have to do something, not to save you, but to show appreciation of your salvation. God has sent forth his grace, and by grace alone can we be worthy to bear these fruits, because trying to bear this fruits without the released grace of the cross amounts to nothing. But every predestined seed that has been raised to life will live unto Christ.
We are expecting the rapture, and indeed the Bible promised rapture, but that is for those who have a testimony. All of the examples of the rapture candidates had testimonies they left on earth (such men as Enoch), who served God without retiring, and God translated him. Paul spoke of him, that by faith he was translated, and before his translation, he had a testimony that he pleased God. He left us with a hallmark that “it is possible to serve God.” Have you ever ask yourself how the sons of the prophets knew Elijah was going in rapture? It was because he had a testimony beyond the realm of this cosmos, he was heavenly! You need to have a testimony! -that must precede your rapture. All you need do is to obey and follow him step by step and you will discover that it is simple, because God will not tell you to do what is impossible, his laws are not grievous the bible says.
You have to live a life pleasing unto God alone, we can’t serve two masters. You have to grow to a point where you become jealous for God, you can’t stand anything that griefs him. We have Phinehas who was zealous for God’s sake, and by this, he turned away the wrath of God over the people, and God in turn blessed him with his everlasting covenant of peace, and guess what? This same covenant of peace is also given to all who would be faithful. Your being jealous for God can promote you to a place of honor -God honors men -faithful men! If you can’t fight for God, you can’t go in the rapture. If truly you love God, you will be jealous for Him, the Spirit of God, if truly in you, will not tolerate evil.
We have countless examples of the raptured souls in the Bible with their life’s testimonies, and if we want to go in rapture, we should take them for a manual to guide our daily living.
Every one that made a firm decision for God weren’t loved by the mainstream folks of their days, the world entirely don’t love them. Jezebel was looking for Elijah to kill because he was standing for God. You will not be loved by the world when you’re taking stand for God; though the present world will hate us, we should not hate them, because God does not work in bitterness.
We need to allow God to work in and through our lives to accomplish all of his purpose. God did not finished all the works he had in plan when Jesus was on earth; what is left is to be achieved in the lives of the brides. And if indeed we are the bride, then we ought to bear the fruits of the gospel we are hearing so that we can be rapturable. We need the rapturing faith to meet the Lord in the air. Shalom and God bless us.
The Great Cloud of Witnesses of The Overcomers II
God bless you for joining us again on our sermon review, and we believe previous reviews has been a blessing to you. Today we went further expounding more on the topic we treated last week “The great cloud of witnesses of the overcomers”. Check the link below to read the first part if you missed out.
The Great Cloud of Witnesses of The Overcomers I
TEXTS:Hebrew 12:1-2, Hebrew 11:1-3, John 1:12, Hebrew 11:33-35, 1Cortinthians 10:3-10, Hebrew 11:31, Joshua 2:19, Act 8:26
What is Faith?
Faith means revelation, and revelation means “understanding of the word of God.” Thus, faith means to trust, rely, depend and have confidence in the word of God. The bible told us that we are surrounded by so great cloud of witnesses, these cloud of witnesses can also be called cloud of example –of whom he was the first: God in his creation only spoke the words out, making the things that we see out of the things that are not visible, however he believed and had faith that what he has said cannot return to him void, and sooner or later, his spoken words became visible. He also made his son, Jesus Christ another example for us to learn from: Jesus did not enjoy anythong on earth here, but he enjoyed God, he lived his life enduring the mandate for which he came to earth for. Brother, suffering has an end, otherwise, you don’t need to endure –we are instructed to endure whatever suffering because it won’t last forever.
WHY DID JESUS ENDURED THE CROSS?
First, the cross Jesus endured was not the one the devil gave to him, (though the devil gave him a cross, he rejected it), the cross he endured was the one God gave to him, and that he carried. He endured that cross because he had faith (trust, rely, had confidence) in God.
Jesus, having confidence in God and the joy that was set before him endured the cross, the joy he had was the joy of his inheritance which he will receive after he overcame. The joy Jesus was promised is the same joy that was promised every of his followers who will also overcome. Jesus told us that if we suffer with him, we will reign with him. God will never put biblical faith to shame. But please, you have to overcome to be crowned; God has and will have a testimony about anyone, just like he testified about Enoch before he was translated. The testimony of God is greater than man’s, so He is the one you should rather please. I’m sure if the Pharisees’ were called to preach on Jesus’ funeral, they will call him a renegade, but that’s not the testimony of God concerning him, He says “this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.”
There are things that goes beyond our level of comprehension, and that is why trials come our way; the testimony God boasted about Job caused him series of trials. But he lived to prove that he believed and had faith in God, not because of material things. And because he overcame, he became one of the clouds of witnesses.
All these men who were mentioned in Hebrew 11 were not the only men in their time, who were on earth following God, but these men are the ones that stood out as overcomers; it is an individual race, and you have a role to play in becoming an overcomer. Many left Egypt, but did not enter into the promise land; coming out of denomination is not all that matters, denomination must come out of you –enter the promise land –Holy Spirit! Until the word of God is controlling you, God cannot be pleased with you. Faith will make you hear, recognize and act upon the word of God. We disobey God because we don’t trust him. Faith is simple and faith is hard, but faith will make you an overcomer! God does not require so much from you, He only requires Faith from you. The 3000 people who were baptized into Christ on the day of Pentecost simply obeyed God because they had faith in his word, and thus obeyed his instruction. If you want to obey God, you have to disobey somebody!
You have to be careful because you can be overthrown: the evil, sin, character, level you have overcome can come back and overcome you, in such case, you are not standing, you denied God, and he cannot be pleased with you. How are you standing? Are you pleasing God? Yes, you have believed the doctrine of Jesus Christ, but the Bible also forewarned us to be mindful of the sins that easily beset us. The bible told us of women who refused to be delivered and was tormented to death. So much as the stories of the overcomers that were written for our examples, the bible also wrote to us about those who failed, so that we will not fall into the same mistake they fell into.
You and I are left with no excuse upon exploring what these great cloud of witnesses and what they did, regardless of whatever situation we are and what we’ve been, we have countless people who have been such and still overcame, and if these were written for our examples, then, we have to embrace what they did to also overcome. What did they do? They believed God, they obeyed his word. And if you do likewise, you will overcome; you cannot get revival outside the word of God, fasting doesn’t bring revival, if you want to have revival, return to the word of God, and obey its instructions. God bless you. Amen!
