You can’t desire victories and run from battles, conversely, you have to be ready to face battles to be a victor. Christ has called us into battle, but there are golden weapons for waging these spiritual wars, let’s check it out.
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 2Corinthians 10:1-6
God has one church on earth, and that church has one enemy –the devil. This common enemy has been fighting the church from the beginning of the church, however, God has had victors in all ages. This is the last and He is expecting nothing less. It’s a double blessing for us because this time we have a template to read to know how to prosecute our warfare. Men have fought, and we have their lives to read in the word of God, and follow their footsteps.
Jesus, the head of the church also fought this battle; the golden weapon he used was obedience. And we should learn from Him. If you stop learning, you start dying. There are two things a dead man cannot do –he cannot learn and he cannot die. We need to die to ourselves to learn, we need to die to ourselves to stop sinning –both require death. We have a heady generation who are seeing elders as nonentities –not willing to submit to them. They have become disobedient to parent –even their parents in the Lord. Meanwhile, the direct injunction of scripture is that children should be obedient to their parent in the Lord.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:1-3
Jesus learnt obedience by the things He suffered, and became perfect, making Him the author of eternal salvation (not to all) but unto those who will obey Him. Perfect obedience is the key to our victories. When you become obedient to God, He will avenge you of your enemies. You do not have to be an enemy to a brother, instead wear a burden of reconciliation for them –this is the second weapon for overcoming.
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Hebrews 5:8-9
The ministry of reconciliation is for every believer, we are enjoined by God to be one another’s brother. You should feel a burden for a dying brother before his death. Your thought towards a backsliding brother matters and God watches it. Ever before he draws back to perdition, you should be concerned.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2Corinthians 5:18-20
Satan is the accuser of brethren; Satan is a spirit, he uses human to carry out these treacheries, instead of letting the evil spirit use you against your brother, let a positive attitude and heart spur in you for your brother –Jesus Christ is the High Priest of our confession. Learn to use your mouth positively, both for yourself, and for others.
Perfecting our imperfections requires that you become obedient to God’s word. And it begins from heeding the call of the Shout –“Come out of Babylon, Back to the Bible”. Babylon is any and everything that has is contrary to the Bible yet upheld as the truth. Denomination is of the devil, God did not set any man has the overseer of the general assembly of churches, that came from the devil. There are only five offices Christ gave to the Church –the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. All your denominational titles –pope, arch bishop, right reverend, general overseer and all are demonic. Christ is the owner of His Church, He is the General Overseer.
The Shout is the message of the prophet for our age, God has used him to sound an alarm to us, to be the Word-Bride. The word of God instruct us to repent and be baptize in the name of Jesus Christ, but people are rather baptizing in the titles of father, son and holy ghost, that is not scriptural, and regardless of your emotional affiliation with Jesus, you are not saved. God is not three, He is One!
Perfect obedience brings salvation, it brings answers to prayers, your obedience has to be perfect for you to be perfect; you cannot have half obedience and be perfected. You don’t need so much prayers on the enemies as we have been taught, you work out your faith with fear and trembling –in perfect obedience.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17
There is no struggle for a man who can humble himself and obey; those who struggle are those who are not willing and obedient. In many cases, we rob God –in tithes, in offering, in avenging for ourselves, in ignoring the desperation to pray.
It’s a call to perfection, and obedience has to be complete to ensure perfection. Shalom.
