Distraction –a canker that has eaten up the Laodicea generation so deeply. We cannot begin to talk about perfection to a people whose vision is lopsided. We need to recalibrate our focus again on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, then can we begin a walk unto perfecting our imperfections.

There is someone who can perfect us, and if He has promised us perfection, he is more serious about it than we are. Our problem is that we have been distracted from the one who can perfect, focusing on the mundane things of life. It didn’t start today anyway, the disciples of Jesus at some point were pointing Jesus to the temple and its beauty.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Matthew 24:1-3

When that happened, Jesus had to instantly rebuke his disciples and focus their attention on what mattered –the end. He began to tell them about the end, so much that the disciples were concerned to ask him questions about it, which are pointers to us who live in the end of the age.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:34-39

Our day is a repetition of the day of Noah, men were busy about earthly things; the same way the disciples were looking up to the temple was the same way men were looking unto the daughters of men in the days of Noah, and took them as their wives. They provoked God till He said His Spirit will no longer strive with man. And although Noah was on ground, the people choose their own ways to walk in it.

Flipping to our age, we have many Christs who have distracted the heart of the people from God to another. They have tied Christianity to how well you are on earth here, and everyone is busy chasing several things that have no eternal value. They grew and became rich, increased with goods, and are clothed; but the testimony of God is different –they are blind, wretched, naked and miserable. It doesn’t look like they understand the judgment of God because they view life from a standpoint, different from God’s, hence their rebellion. If God loves you, He will chastise you, not to kill you, but to make you perfect and whole. All He requires is your obedience. God is ready for you if you are ready to escape for your life. This concerns everyone –parents, children, elders and youth, there is deliverance in God.

God has the power of transformation –transformation is a process of perfection, if you are not transformed, you cannot be perfected. God has sent us a message through the star messenger of this age, and the call is to come out of Babylon, you have to accept and believe that message to be in God’s program of transformation. He also has given the fivefold ministry for the perfecting of the saints –if ordained by God, their goal is to point you to the Perfect One who is able to perfect you. You cannot know more than your Shepherd, so, submit yourself to them for transformation. Without transformation, there is no rapture! It has nothing to do with your head knowledge, has nothing to do with finishing the sermon books, you need to submit yourself to be transformed; it is painful but it is the way. You have several benefits to enjoy with the Holy Spirit in you –the Holy Spirit is Eternal Life, there are spiritual gifts that God can manifest in your life. If you have believed the message truly, it should manifest in your life, if your life did not change after you have received the message, you actually did not. You cannot catch fire and not burn. I invite you to focus again on the One who is the Helper, and He will break every fetters in you.
